Celebrating Veteran’s Day in your classroom is a great opportunity to teach thankfulness. Even young children can learn the importance of taking care of people, and protecting the freedoms and values we hold so dearly. We also have a section of Memorial Day Bible Crafts and Activities that might tie in with some of your thematic lesson planning. One important Bible truth to remind children of is when Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friend.”
